The Indian Premium League (IPL) of 2020 is over and the Internet has a hell of a lot of memes on the same. The tournament has been fun so far. With a lot of amazing things like some surprising youngsters breaking the stereotypes, and teams performing extremely well, we can’t get over the IPL anytime soon. We know the kind of faces everybody made when the news came out saying that the IPL might start only on March 29 because of the pandemic. Nobody was sure about the happening of the IPL, but, now, the BCCI made it happen anyway, by organizing it carefully in UAE until November 10, from September 19.
It has been a week since the IPL season got over and there are loads of updates coming out on the upcoming IPL 2021 season. It is believed that there will be a grand auction that where several players will be participating. The proposed schedule of the season lasts between April to May of 2021. The final dates of the season will be released in the December of 2020. There is a news update saying that there will be a new team making it a total of nine teams.
If this is done, there will be a lot of new players making it into the IPL, and at the same time, prominent IPL teams like CSK, RCB, and MI will be let go into the auctions. Coming to the details, here we have come up with a list of potential players who will be pooled into the auction:
The unlikely performance of Kedar Jadhav might land him in a new team or let go of the auction. Anyway, three more players might be released by the team. The injured Dwayne Bravo might not be seen in the new season of CSK. Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh’s contracts might expire in 2020 making them unavailable for the yellow jersey. Altogether, popular names like Dwayne Bravo, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, and Harbhajan Singh might face the ax this season.
With CSK done, RCB’s underwhelming players like Dale Steyn, Umesh Yadav, and Moeen Ali might have to leave the team eventually.
On the other hand, with the amazing five-time trophy-winning history, Mumbai Indians have chances of letting go of few players from their team, the likes of Sherfane Rutherford and Mitchell McClenaghan might not be seen again.
