RCB Comes To Rescue Virat Kohli Over Getting Trolled For Diwali Wishes!

We all know the levels at which air pollution has been exponentially rising with time. Be it the traffic, industrial emissions, or the crackers that are burst during the festival and new year events in India. However, for the last four to five years, so many people across the Internet, including the actors and the sportspeople are urging people to stop bursting crackers and encouraging them to go for the ample lights and have a peaceful time. Most of these awareness posts either invite trolls or get appreciation, most of the times, it is the former thing. This time, it is the Indian skipper Virat Kohli who has fallen prey to the Internet trolls.

Virat posted a video message for the festival wishing his fans and every one an auspicious Diwali, in the video, he is seen urging people not to burst crackers, for which he is brutally trolled on all platforms of social media. Amid all this, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB),  the IPL franchise for which is the skipper has clarified the situation. They cleared the air by stating that the visuals we can see in the footage are taken from the archives of the UAE’s Flag Day celebration which was held on the 3rd of November.

The official handle of RCB also added they always have the responsibility of maintaining the environment clean and safe for everyone.

Their tweet read, “Hope you are all enjoying a happy and peaceful Diwali with family and friends. To clarify, the fireworks shown in RCB’s recent celebratory video was archival footage of UAE’s Flag Day celebrations. RCB continues to work hard to protect the environment like we’ve over the years.”

However, here is what Virat Kohli said in his post:

“Please remember do not burst crackers to protect the environment and have fun at home with your loved ones with a simple diya and sweets on this auspicious occasion,” he said.
