Sehwag Reveals An Incident: ‘I Entertained Pak Cricketers By Singing & Batting’

Dearly called Viru, Virender Sehwag is celebrated as one of the most destructive batsmen India has ever produced in the history of cricket. Post his retirement from all forms of international cricket, Viru has started whole new innings on the Internet through his social media handles. The former hitman is pretty famous for his wittiness, great sense of humor, and an eccentric style of wishing birthdays to his colleagues from the ground on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

Not just the above things, Viru is very well known for one of the unusual things, yes, we are talking about his habit of singing while batting on the field. Recently during an interaction session with a cricket portal, Sehwag disclosed it that he was an entertainer on the field, he used to make the Pakistani cricketers have a good time with his singing skills, not just the batting.

Now, 42, Viru paaji also revealed that he prefers singing while batting, not much during the other tasks. He went on disclosing the songs he used to sing specifically. Calling it as a mood lightener, he said that “Chala jaata hoon kisi ke dhun mein, dhadakte dil ke, taraane liye” is his favorite song from the classic Bollywood. Meanwhile, he also added that singing this song in any kind of situation and mood is quite relieving and helps him in bettering the condition on the field. He also told that the choice of his songs depended on the condition of his batting performance. If he was able to make runs comfortably, he used to hum Bollywood songs but if he was facing difficulty in making runs, he used to sing the devotionals.

Virender Sehwag also revealed a story of one particular incident which is one of his personal favorites, in that incident, a Pakistani cricketer Yasir Hameed asked him to hum a famous Kishore Kumar song. Since this request came for the first time, and that too a song by the legendary Kishore Kumar, Viru couldn’t deny it, and went on doing it for Yasir.

Since these are Hindi songs, most of the International cricketers couldn’t understand or process what Viru is singing in front of the wickets.
