Dearly called Viru, Virender Sehwag is celebrated as one of the most destructive batsmen India has ever produced in the history of cricket. Post his retirement from all forms of international cricket, Viru has started whole new innings on the Internet through his social media handles. The former hitman is pretty famous for his wittiness, great sense of humor, and an eccentric style of wishing birthdays to his colleagues from the ground on the micro-blogging site Twitter. This time, Viru is on news for his comments on the Indian Premier League 2020.
The IPL 2020 is over and Mumbai Indians won their fifth title. Sehwag now revealed his point of view on the teams, points, players, and the way the tournament was carried forward. He posted a video on the social networking platform Facebook in which he took out some big names who didn’t justify the value for what they were brought in the IPL.
In the video titled, ‘Viru Ki Baithak’, he included the name of former RCB’s opening batsman Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell of Kings XI Punjab, Andre Russell from Kolkata Knight Riders, Shane Watson of Chennai Super Kings, and lastly, the celebrated bowler Dale Steyn, from RCB. Viru added that the list is not in any order.
He started off talking about, Aaron Finch, Shane Watson, and Dale Steyn. Shockingly, he called Glenn Maxwell, a cheerleader. Said, “This 10 crore cheerleader proved very costly for Punjab. His IPL routine for the last few years has been of shirking from work but this season he broke that record as well. This is what you call a highly paid vacation.”
