There are a hell lot of things we admire about our former captain cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and so many things which we aren’t much aware of why! Well, one such thing about him is his way of gifting away his jerseys after the match. On the sports front, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), despite being so many people’s favorites, the Gentlemen’s team couldn’t make it into the playoffs this year, and Dhoni didn’t perform as of what is expected from him generally. The 3-time trophy winners have been knocked out of the tournament after being unable to bag enough points and win enough matches. The team bid adieu to the IPL 2020 after winning the last three matches they played against the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Royal Challengers Bangalore, and the Kings XI Punjab.
And, when it comes to MS Dhoni’s presence in the upcoming IPLs, he gave the answer right away. It is the journalist Danny Morrison who came up with this question. Danny asked Dhoni if this is going to be the last IPL season, to which Dhoni replied ‘Definitely Not’.
The idea of Dhoni retiring has come up after he is seen giving away his jerseys to the junior players of the other teams. The pictures of players like Kuldeep Yadav, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Jos Buttler, and a few other KKR players were seen taking pictures of them taking the autographed jerseys from Maahi.
When asked about why he is giving away the jerseys, Dhoni chuckled and went on saying that they thought he might soon leave the IPL just the way he left the International cricket. “Maybe they thought I am retiring, you know. I retired from international cricket, so they might be thinking I am retiring from IPL as well,” Dhoni added.
Well, there is more coming, and we can’t wait for Dhoni to show his magic in the upcoming seasons.
